Sportsco cries foul on SkyDome lease
Article Abstract:
Sportsco Corp has asked a court to cancel a proposed 10-yr lease between the SkyDome Corp and the Toronto Blue Jays. Sportsco, which is bidding for the stadium, said that the lease gives the Blue Jay control over most of the stadium's operations such as ticketing, concessions and advertising, and half of the naming rights to the Dome. Sportsco believes that the lease was changed to favor its rival bidder Labatt Brewing Corp, which currently controls the Blue Jays and the Skydome.
