There was a flurry of news reports when former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit against the Justice Dept. over allegations in the Airbus-Air Canada scandal. But few journalists have covered the investigation in the depth it deserves.

Is Ottawa's Airbus case nuts, or what?

Article Abstract:

Mulroney's lawsuit is historic for a number of odd reasons. The fact that a former prime minister is suing his successor government is odd, and a proposition advanced in the media suggests that Mulroney may have leaked the documents that allegedly libelled him.
