Article Abstract:
New York City's recent snowfall of 10.3 inches was not the worst storm the city ever experienced, but everything seemed to shut down, including the Martha Stewart securities fraud trial. It is possible that New Yorkers were showing some fatigue from a difficult winter, and city and business officials provided a welcomed break. Snowfall has reached 37.1 inches since Dec. 2003, the fifth highest level in city history.
