TD grabs Schwab Australian unit
Article Abstract:
San Francisco, Calif.-based Charles Schwab Corp., which has been hurt by falling profits, has sold its Australian accounts to rival TD Waterhouse Group Inc. for an undisclosed amount. TD Waterhouse, which is owned by Toronto Dominion Bank, will acquire 51,000 Schwab accounts in Australia.
