The False Promise of Slave Redemption
Article Abstract:
The reemergence of slavery, imposed by the ruling northern Sudanese fundamentalist political party known as the National Islamic Front, is partly upheld by the legion of international humanitarian aid agencies in Sudan. A history of Sudan's civil war, and its terrible toll on southern Sudanese, is provided. An international policy of abolition is outlined.

A Jewish prisoner of the Nazi regime describes how he and his father survived stays at such notorious concentration camps as Auschwitz, Gross Rosen, and Flossenberg. Both men were ultimately liberated on May 2, 1945, from a satellite camp near Dachau.
