Java, a programming language, may someday allow easy information retrieval. For now, a variety of DOS-based programs are recommended, including Agenda, askSam, and Search Manager 2. The Boolean searching system of Lexis-Nexis is criticized, and its possible replacement by Britannica's Propaedia is analyzed.

The dollar and the yen: why the wishful thinking of the experts deserves to be devalued
Article Abstract:
Allowing a country's currency to continue to fall is not a good economic strategy. The US has not benefitted economically from the fall of the dollar against the yen, and Japan has not suffered the trade problems that economists had forecasted if the yen became too strong.
