A Santa Monica, CA, jury awarded the families of Ronald Goldman and Nicole Simpson Brown $11.5 million in compensatory damages, and may award more for punitive damages. The wrongful death civil trial against Simpson continued to divide Whites and Blacks in the US.

The Simpson follies: O.J. skirts an interview - and nagging questions
Article Abstract:
Simpson backed out of an interview with the newsmagazine 'Dateline NBC' fearing difficult questions concerning the murder case. He did speak afterwards with a New York Times reporter about his life following the case but spoke little about the case and murders.
