Neither the Liberals nor the Progressive Conservatives plan to retain New Democratic Party leader Bob Rae's policy of aiding failing businesses, even though Rae's critics concede that his bailouts have succeeded. Interventions saved Spruce Falls Power, de Havilland, and Algoma Steel from collapse.

Battle for Chrysler: Iacocca joins a bid that rocks Detroit's hottest automaker
