Article Abstract:
Native Americans are fighting for their civilrights after 500 years of oppression. After the last Indian uprising in the late 19th century, the Indians were stripped of their lands and identity. The Indians suffered economically and socially after they were forced to adapt to white laws. Through the years, the Indians developed a sense of inter-tribal unity that enabled them to present a common stand in protesting the use of Indian names by sport teams to suing states on unlawful land claims. Results are subtly manifested, but the whites are slowly heeding the Indians' call for justice.

Article Abstract:
The first food irradiation facility opened in Mulberry, FL, amid controversy over the new food preservation technique. While proponents of food irradiation claim that the process is safe and extends the shelf life of food products without any adverse effect on the product itself, opponents argue that there is yet no scientifically reliable study to support the safety of food irradiation. In between these two sides are the consumers who now cannot tell which group is telling the truth and which is merely self-serving.

Article Abstract:
Prescription drug prices are rising three times faster than other products, giving drug companies an annual average profitability of 15%. Drug companies and activists present their side on issues which include justification of high prices due to high research and development costs and government price regulation. Companies claim that prescription drugs reduce the nation's medical care costs but activists say this is not the point.
