Members of the news media tend to accuse their opponents of censorship and unfair criticism. Canadians must question whether freedom of the press actually exists, and must be assured that both the media and those who receive information have the right to expect integrity and truth in reporting.

Article Abstract:
Newspapers can cover news with depth and substance, but people have become accustomed to settling for the quicker and more superficial reporting of television. Newspapers need to set their own priorities, and generally show that they can do a better job of news reporting.
