Pressure from US activists and in foreign countries is forcing multinational corporations operating in Asia into social responsibility. Toy, apparel and sporting good manufacturers have established child-free factories and are making charitable contributions to local communities in order to avoid negative publicity campaigns. However, some Asian governments are banning wage hikes as inflationary.
