Model portfolios: recent developments
Article Abstract:
Three types of portfolios for investors with different attitudes and expectations from stocks are suggested. The first portfolio lists the stocks with above-average year-ahead price potential, the second portfolio lists the stocks for income and potential price appreciation and the third portfolio lists the stocks with long-term price growth potential. The suggested portfolios are based on the stock performances as per data available as of April 7, 2006.

The nitrous oxide philosopher

William James began experimenting with the effects of nitrous oxide in the late 1800s and as a result, he underwent a series of religious experiences. These religious experiences were called into question because they were triggered by the drugs, and disappeared when the effects wore off.
