The 'old boys' of Canadian art just can't win
Article Abstract:
The Art Gallery of Ontario's 'Art for a Nation' exhibit is supposed to be a celebration of the work of Canada's Group of Seven painters, but Toronto's art critics have taken a dim view of the show. Critics also attacked the Group of Seven's 1921 exhibit. A satire on art criticism is presented.
