This school demands excellence ... and offers hope

Article Abstract:

At Academy Prep in St. Petersburg, Fla., students attend school 9 1/2 hours a day for 11 months out of the year. The middle school teaches academics along with a focus on ethics, values, and discipline. It was founded by a retired couple and runs mostly on donations. The school's short history is discussed.

Article Abstract:

A businessman whose grandfather was both a duke and a prince in Czechoslovakia had a great deal of family property returned to him when the country's communist government collapsed. Lobkowicz now lives in Prague and is interested in making cultural contributions to the people.

Article Abstract:

Most of the 57 students in Nativity Prep School, an all-boy school, are poor, with nearly half below the poverty line. These students are learning, however, and many are being accepted at first rate private schools.
