Too many lawyers?
Article Abstract:
The increased population of lawyers has largely been blamed for the increased number of lawsuits filed in court. A 1992 survey of California lawyers indicates rising attitudes against lawyers not just among the public but also among lawyers themselves. The significant increase of lawyers is traced to the baby boom after the World War II, the rising popularity of postgraduate studies and the increase of female students enteringlaw schools. In defense of lawyers, the American Bar Association announced thatthere is no reliable statistical evidence proving their culpability.

Should the government limit how many hours truckers can drive consecutively and prescribe specified rest periods?
Article Abstract:
One author argues that fatigue impairs truck driver performance. Truck drivers are mostly paid by miles they drive or the load they transport, and since compensation for per mile or load is low, they are forced to drive for as long as possible. Furthermore, less than 5% are represented by unions, which further increases the chances of accidents on the road. However, another author argues that the real problem rests on the lack of implementation of current regulations. By timing the amount of sleep a driver receives, driver performance remains at 100%.

Many cultures
Article Abstract:
The largest ethnic group among Hispanics presently residing in the US are the Mexican-Americans. The rest are subdivided among ethnic Puerto Ricans, Cuban, Central/South American and other Hispanic groups. Given the diversity of their cultural origins, these various Hispanic ethnic groups tend to live separately from each other, and as such settle in different parts of the US.
