The referendum to divide Quebec from the rest of Canada will fail because the differences between Quebec and the rest of Canada is exaggerated by opportunistic politicians. A poll conducted by Financial Post/COMPAS Inc. shows great affection and respect between Quebecois and other Canadians.

Canada has a better health care insurance system than the US, but changes are needed to keep up with shifting demographics. Charging everyone a 5% to 10% deductible based on income would help to keep costs down. The very poor or retired might be exempted from a deductible.
