Will Environmental Fear Stick to DuPont's Teflon?
Article Abstract:
The Environmental Protection Agency has recently determined that perfluorooctanoic acid, a chemical used in the production of Teflon is a "likely carcinogen". E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Co., which just paid over $100 million to settle a lawsuit claiming they had contaminated the water supply in Parkersburg, West Virginia, now faces a class action suit from people who bought Teflon-coated cookware.
