Wolves in the wild: a relocation program draws ranchers' wrath

Many ranchers in Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho oppose the grey wolf relocation effort, which involves the transfer of roughly 40 animals from northern British Columbia to the Yellowstone area. Some Canadian wildlife advocates also oppose the plan, because they fear that the wolves will be harmed.

When the snow turns treacherous: Canada endures one its deadliest avalanche seasons
Article Abstract:
Fifteen Canadians were killed in avalanches during the winter 1994-95. The high number is attributed to unstable weather patterns which left loose layers of soft snow, and the increasing use of the backcountry by skiers and snowmobilers. Tips on how to prepare for an avalanche are given.

Romancing the falls: Niagara still lures love-struck honeymooners

Niagara Falls has always been a popular place for people to spend their honeymoon. Close to 50,000 newly married couples visit there each year. The town has a romantic atmosphere. Many of the hotels feature honeymoon suites with Jacuzzis and other amenities.
