The advantages of good timing that Centro Properties Group enjoyed for listing a new property trust with focus on retail rental property are discussed. Such a line of activity could well become a trendsetter as it has come at a time when many investors have burnt their fingers in the property market and are looking at alternatives. The listed property trust offers returns on equity plus investments of investor choice. A brief profile of the group is presented.

Mirvac's managing director Greg Paramor says that it provides a new platform for Mirvac, gives James Fielding unitholders a large amount of security, and locks in its performance and pricing.
