How are you fixed?
Article Abstract:
Australia is seeing the lowest interest rates it has seen in years and it would seem to be a good idea to look at locking in a mortgage rate, although there is no indication that rates are going up in the immediate future. A better plan is to make payments at perhaps 1% above real rates to reduce the principle amount faster and give a better protection and savings strategy. Most borrowers, 80%, are keeping a variable rate.
