Australian banks are becoming more confident in electronic banking security systems and are providing more Internet and telephone services at great savings to the bank and ultimately the customer. Advance Bank has taken the lead in online banking and claims to have almost 11,000 participating customers and 1,000 new customers a month. Commonwealth and NetBank have also launched Internet sites.
