New life for old pills
Article Abstract:
A researcher proposes a scheme that enables unused pills in good condition and within the expiry date to be recycled to be distributed again to patients. This redistribution plan, which can be considered a federal crime since the US government prohibits drug distribution among individuals, is likely to save billions of dollars wasted each year by disposal of unused drugs.
