A survey of readers finds that many have become avid collectors over the years, and that there is a wide variety of items collected. Most started collecting between the ages of 26-40, but 25% began in childhood. A full 63% of those responding said that they could never part with their collections.

A readers' survey on the subject of health care indicates that 90% of the respondents have basic health coverage, 55% have outpatient prescription drug coverage and 53% have high-cost health coverage. A full 76% said they would be willing to pay more taxes for expanded coverage.

A survey of readers indicates that 85% have personal computers and that 75% make use of a computer every day. Some readers had a hostile reaction to computers, but the majority reported finding many uses for computers, including helping them cope with limitations.
