Shares versus funds

Article Abstract:

Proponents of managed funds believe that small investors cannot beat the skills and knowledge of professional funds managers. However, stockbrokers believe small investors who do not want to be involved in every transaction and are not interested in small details should buy managed funds. However, they must consider the cost in terms of fees and charges for handing responsibility to fund managers.

Should women take more risks?

Article Abstract:

Women are generally the more conservative investors, however the patterns are changing with younger and more experienced investors. The reasons women pursue safer investments are many, but women generally earn less money and consequently have less to invest. They do not want to risk loosing the little they have. The downside is their investments generate lower returns and compound other problems.
