The years of living dependently
Article Abstract:
Financial implications of having a parent in long-term care can be daunting and it would be well to prepare. The very rich and the very poor are usually taken care of, but for those in the middle the situation can be impossible. Pension regulations related to selling the family home and paying for a bond required for care are explained. A case story of an Australian family with a mother who had invested carefully so as not to be dependent is presented.
