Incentives for forty-five countries to join various forms of carbon reduction agreements
Article Abstract:
The incentives to take part in different international carbon dioxide reduction agreements granted to 45 countries emitting large amounts of carbon is analyzed. A production function for each of the countries was obtained by using current economic data and projected population figures. Damage functions for each country were also estimated. It was concluded that centrally planned economies and Australia, Canada and the US opposed the agreements.
