Article Abstract:
A total of twenty-six companies, or the 40 percent of the industries in the United States increased dividends in 2003 following the same number of increases recorded in 2002 but some companies' dividends enthusiasts were prevented from this increase due to the liquidity concerns, debt reduction. To avoid the adverse affects of dividend reduction the companies should adopt a flexible planning of dividend commitment carried in a long run.
