Article Abstract:
The US President George W. Bush's drive for second generation biofuels is an attempt to solve the biofuels problem, as the US wants to replace a significant part of its oil consumption with biofuel. The US states and the European Union (EU) have to come up with many incentives in order to resolve the conflict between biofuel progress and costs, which includes subsidies and blending obligations, or a mixture of both.
