"Bosnia: why the United States should finish the job."

Article Abstract:

Bosnia's successful transition into a multi-ethnic, free market democracy rests on the US' continued military presence the country. The presence of American troops has led to the implementation of the Dayton Peace Accords, disbanding of warring parties and destruction of almost 7,000 heavy weapons. The departure of troops could undermine these developments and threaten the peace process in Bosnia which would, in turn, threaten peace in Europe.
