Observations are presented regarding the military strategy of the United States following the terrorist attacks on the country in September 2001. The comment is made that there is no 'knockout blow' against terrorism and that hard line tactics may make situations worse in more moderate countries.

Serbia at the crossroads
Article Abstract:
The international community has to intervene in the present crisis in Serbia. That it had failed to do so in 1991 would point out the need that it should in 1996. Serbian authorities must be made to recognize the results of the elections. Internal political destabilization would otherwise result.

The task faced by US law enforcement agencies today, especially the FBI, is to protect people from terrorist attacks while preserving the liberties inherent in a democratic nation. Terrorism threatens the liberty with order that is at the core of American society and individual freedom.
