Trips by UK visitors to theme parks abroad rose by 68% 3.7 million in 1996 from 1992, with admissions expected to rise to 4.2 million in 1997, according to Mintel. UK visitors spent 70 million pounds sterling on theme park admissions during 1996 and the figure is predicted to increase to 82 million pounds sterling in 1997. The number of UK visitors travelling to parks in Europe has risen 110% from 1994 to 1996, whilst those travelling to American parks has increased by 18%. The most popular theme park destination in Europe is Disneyland Paris, with 65% of UK theme park visitors going there.

Radical right makes its mark
Article Abstract:
Western Europe's political environment has supported the radical right. Such parties continue to challenge the stability the region has finally reached. Parties supporting right-wing ideologies have established a significant presence in many western European states. These parties are no longer dismissed as ephemeral results of unfavorable societal shifts.
