The rigor of QWL evaluations over time: evidence of a modified positive-findings bias

Article Abstract:

Observations in the rigor of Quality of Working Life (QWL) evaluations for 22 years was conducted. The results show no major positive findings bias (PFB), though data gathered may not be totally accurate.Observations on the public sector show no signs of PFB while it exists in the business sector. Fifteen percent of the data gathered was obtained from unpublished sources and could be considered biased since it implies higher success rates. Longer periods of observation of the rigor of QWL studies may diminish the biases and produce more accurate data.
