Aggression and violence in fantasy and fact
Article Abstract:
Comic books act as a medium or a fantasy escape for the frustrations and complexities of children. Comic books also inspire violent behavior and aggression in children by exposing them to violence, torture, killings and act of revenge. The deleterious effects of comic books on child psychology outweigh their benefits as a means of release for children who are trying to gain acceptance in their society. Furthermore, children are unnecessarily exposed to different forms of aggression and violence which are illustrated and promoted by comic books.
