Cardiovascular reactivity and neuroticism: results from a laboratory and controlled ambulatory stress protocol
Article Abstract:
The differences in the cardiovascular reactivity of individuals with different neuroticism or the disposition to experience negative subjective emotions were determined by using a laboratory and controlled ambulatory protocol. The results showed a comparable blood pressure reactivity between persons that scored high in neuroticism and persons low in neuroticism. This finding suggests that the differences in neuroticism scores are not exhibited strongly at the cardiovascular level.
