Impaired disengagement of attention in young children with autism
Article Abstract:
The disengaged and shift operations of visual attention in young children with autism are examined in comparison to children with Down syndrome and a normal group. The study concluded that relative to both comparison groups, children with autism had significant difficulty in disengaging attention.

How specific are executive functioning deficits in attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and autism?
Article Abstract:
Children with deficient cognitive processes and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) are compared. It was found that children with autism exhibited more problems with executive functioning than children with ADHD.
