Serial murder: a more accurate and inclusive definition
Article Abstract:
Defining serial murders as committed by male sexual sadists is too narrow and defining such crime as the premeditated murder of at least three people over time would be a better definition. This definition includes criminals who are related to their victims and who murder for financial gain. More research into serial murder is needed for better understanding of the phenomenon and it is premature to equate this crime with sexual sadism.
