The incidence of sleeping problems in preterm and fullterm infants discharged from neonatal special care units: an epidemiological longitudinal study

Article Abstract:

Research conducted on the sleeping problems and nightwaking among preschool children, proves that it is more common among very preterm infants and can be attributed to temperament of the infant and parent management strategies rather than neonatal illness. No differences in sleeping behavior compared with healthy term children were found at 20 and 56 months of age.
