PsyDok: Electronic full-text archive for psychological documents

Article Abstract:

The service PsyDok, which makes the availability and preservation of electronic documents with regards to psychological information and grey literature is studied. It is found that PsyDok offers lots of benefits like integration of disciplinary and multidisciplinary retrieval and information systems while further enhancements like multilingual layout, internationalization and print-on-demand service are underway.

Grey literature and urban planning: History and accessibility

Article Abstract:

Urban studies is a unique discipline in that significant amount of the primary literature is produced by non-profit or government agencies that do not publish or actively promote the sale of their literature. However, although most urban planners work in governmental firms, their philosophical approach to collection development and maintenance adheres more toward an architectural approach.

Grey Literature from invisibility to visibility

Article Abstract:

The influence of the web over the availability of Grey Literature and its future accessibility in the virtual world is examined. In order that Grey Literature achieves visibility and accessibility, the development of common standards is essential and the upgrading of HTML (due to its poor bibliographic control) to SIGLE and its Dutch counterpart GLIN towards this end is commended.
