Level 3: building at broadband speed

Article Abstract:

The construction of a 800,000-sq.-ft facility in Broomfield, CO, is expected to bring Level 3 Communications to the top ranks of telecommunication companies worldwide. The four-complex facility, which would house 3,000 to 4,000 employees, is expected to help the company in its transition to broadband service. Level 3 is also working on the world's first ever subterranean Internet protocol service that would run along three continents. This 23,000-mile telecommunications network project is expected to be completed in a five-year time span.

The info-age workplace: now at a location surrounding you

Article Abstract:

Office managers and employees have changed their attitude towards the workplace. Advances in telecommunications technology have contributed in eliminating the notion that workplace is confined to the office. The new workplace refers to any location which allows managers to conduct their business and make them feel most productive. This definition is part of the new concept of 'workplace revolution' in the business community.
