Survey: bevy of quality-of-life improvements

Article Abstract:

A review of some of the quality of life (QOL) improvements made by states to lure companies into their area is presented. Cultural and recreational facilities are the prime QOL attractions being offered. Among these are a $52 million aquarium in Camden, NJ, a $92 million performing arts center in Cincinnati, OH and a $170 million golf complex in St. Johns County, FL. QOL conditions are still regarded as important features in site selection decisions of business enterprises.
