Science parks continue global expansion
Article Abstract:
Ideally located science parks offer tenant corporate research facilities access to university research and support for technological and knowledge transfer. These allow industries to benefit from expanded use of academic research. Among the leading locations are Research Triangle Park, NC, and Cummins Research Park in Huntsville, AL. Europe also has established science parks, but the Pacific Rim countries are innovatively developing science cities. Japan and South Korea, for instance, have established research towns with supporting facilities and infrastructure.
