Scottish Widows markets surplus Edinburgh space
Article Abstract:
Scottish Widows' 28,000 sq mt Port Hamilton headquarters development in Edinburgh, Scotland, will have a substantial proportion of its space let to other occupiers. It is believed that the 8,360 sq mt Courtyard Block and neighbouring land, for which there is outline planning consent for further office space, will be put up for sale. Scottish Widows believes that this approach will give it greater flexibility about use of office space in the future.

Facia crash could swamp market
Article Abstract:
The collapse of Facia group could have a significant impact on the UK market for retail property. A number of high profile multiple retailers, including Saxone and Sock Shop, have gone into receivership of administration as a result of the problems at Facia. It is possible that more than 850 shops will come into the market, but retail agents believe that there could be little interest in most of the shops, especially those in secondary locations.
