Article Abstract:

The automobile industry is one sector which contributes to the economic development of the Basque Country. According to a survey conducted by Andersen Consulting, the auto sector in Spain has the highest quality and level of productivity but the lowest costs. Industry experts attribute the growth of Basque's auto industry to its iron and steel sectors, which are the country's key industries. Under the Basque government's economic plan, the auto industry has also formed its own cluster, ACICAE, which consists of 12 big automobile companies.

Border cities share automaker ties

Article Abstract:

The border cities of Windsor, Ontario and Detroit, Michigan are extending their relationships beyond the automotive industry and are moving towards increased trade between each other. Both cities attribute their roots to the automotive industry, with Windsor and Detroit home to automobile equipment suppliers. Part of the improvement of trade between the two cities are their joint investments in a number of infrastructure projects which will increase intercity trade and international trade.

Auto industry revs up along Interstate 64

Article Abstract:

Interstate 64 is an established favorite location site for the automotive industry because of its geographic centrality. The highway, which runs for 1,521 km, cuts across many states, including Virginia, Kentucky and Indiana. Aside from its location, I-64 also offers a strong vocational-technical training education, which is ideal for the industry. Other attractions of I-64 are the generous incentives offered by the states such as property tax cuts and exemptions from ad valorem taxes.
