The city has 35 call centres, with staff turnover being below the national average. Some observers feel that the focal point for call centre development will shift to the south Wales valleys, while others feel that call centres will be deterred from locating to the valleys because employment subsidies are due to be cut.

Article Abstract:

Some observers have criticised the area around the Schiphol airport, Amsterdam, Netherlands, as being dated, lacking amenities and with poor public transportation. Although there are plans to improve road and rail connections in the future. The Dutch government offers incentives for firms to move into the area and many companies find it a good location for their European operations. Some international firms, such as Microsoft, have already opened offices in the area.
