The economic downtrend has resulted in more people needing help. The message is clear: institutions cannot do it alone. People have to give back to their communities time, energy and money. A list of places where volunteer work is welcome as well as of local help groups is provided.

Lawyer H. Beatty Chadwick gained notoriety in the Philadelphia, PA-area for allegedly physically and mentally abusing his wife, Bobbie, and for hiding the couple's $2.5 million assets. Chadwick was arrested on Apr. 5, 1995 during his regular dental appointment at a local clinic.
