Two paintings are presented and discussed according to their merits and their value. Adolph-Ulrich Wertmueller's "Portrait of a Woman from Philadelphia" is worth $45,000, and "Woman Wearing a Ruffled Bonnet" by an unknown 19th century artist is worth $4000, each painting's price reflecting the artist's ability and the skill exhibited in the painting.
