Ronald Reagan's campaign promises included cutbacks on government regulations. This will be easy to do with some agencies. However, it will be more difficult with some independent regulatory agencies. The time element is important here. One of the first agencies slated for deregulation by the Administration is the Federal Trade Commission. A chart of the timetable for taking control is included.
