Mongolia celebrated its 800th anniversary of the creation of the united Mongolian state in 2006. It saw expanding foreign relations and a continuing economic growth in 2006 despite domestic political difficulties, while also facing with a shortage of basic services and a widening income gap.

Myanmar in 2003: frustration and despair?

The proposal of roadmaps for political change of the government, the State Peace and Development Council (SPDC) was rejected by junta, National League for Democracy (NLD) and other political groups, which led to frustration and despair for the people of Myanmar (Burma) in 2003.
