Pittsburgh has become a popular tourist destination in recent years, and the city is easily accessible from Philadelphia by air, rail, or car. Popular sites for visitors include the Duquesne and Monongahela inclines, the zoo and aviary, and the Frick Art Museum and Historical Center.

Birchrunville is a remote Chester County, PA, village whose 1960's-style citizens produce a unique, hippie-flavored Independence Day parade. Outsiders are specifically not invited to see 'floats' commemorating dead rock stars and other humorous paraders.
