Article Abstract:
Leonard Welles signed up be a merchant seaman when he was 19, but never made it to his designated ship, the Moshulu. The ship is now a floating restaurant in Pennsylvania. Welles returned there at age 81 to ponder what his life would have been like had he successfully pursued life at sea.

The middle-aged man and the sea

More fishermen are using the catch-and-release method wherein fish are released back into the water after weighing, or the hooks are removed from the fishes' throat. This method is ethical and contributes to the conservation of fish species.
